EDI funding round open
Applications for large projects (up to £2500) can now be submitted to the University’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Project Fund, which provides funds to support events, initiatives and projects that align with the University’s commitment to creating an environment in which everyone feels respected, valued, and included.
The scheme, open to all staff and students, aims to support projects that increase our understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion issues or that enhance our own environment for individuals from under-represented, minoritised or historically disadvantaged groups.
Funding can be used for a broad range of activities, including research projects, workshops, speakers, networking, or other events (for instance that align with the Celebrating Diversity calendar). Collaborative projects across Schools and Units, and between staff and students, are encouraged.
Dr Rebekah Widdowfield, Vice-Principal (People & Diversity), said: “This funding scheme will support the ambitions laid out in the University’s Diverse St Andrews strategic theme. Aimed at enhancing understanding and/or practice, we look forward to seeing the exciting project ideas for advancing equality across the University and beyond.”
The application deadline for large projects (up to £2,500) is 5pm on Wednesday 3 April 2024, and applications for small projects (up to £500) can be made at any time.
