Dook and do good
Nearly 30 University staff and friends gathered at the East Sands beach to mark International Women’s Day with a dook in the chilly waters of St Andrews Bay.
The event, organised by the Communications team, was held to raise funds for Fife Women’s Aid.
Four members of the Principal’s Office – Vice-Principal Education (Proctor) Professor Clare Peddie, Vice-Principal (Strategy, Policy and Planning) Ester Ruskuc, Master of the United College, Professor Ineke De Moortel and, and Assistant Vice-Principal (Dean of Arts and Divinity) Professor Catherine O’Leary – all made a splash alongside colleagues from Communications, Student Services, Development, the School of International Relations, School of History, Registry and staff from College Gate.
Colleagues from the ACE team were also on hand to serve tea, coffee and breakfast rolls to warm up those taking part as well as spectators who went along to cheer them on.
The JustGiving page is still open for anyone wishing to support colleagues and the fundraising appeal for Fife Women’s Aid.
