Award nomination for Dr Kirsty Ross
Congratulations to Dr Kirsty Ross from the School of Computer Science, who has been shortlisted for a prestigious Scottish Knowledge Exchange Award.
The awards showcase collaborations between academia and industry and Dr Ross is shortlisted in the Knowledge Exchange Heroes category. Finalists were chosen by a specially selected panel of judges from across Scotland’s innovation ecosystem.
Dr Ross is a senior public engagement professional and has a strong track record for knowledge exchange. She is also the School’s industrial liaison.
Dr Ross said: “I am absolutely delighted to be nominated. Huge thanks to the staff and students at the School of Computer Science, as well as our many partners, without whom this work would not be possible. It is well deserved recognition of the School’s efforts to embed collaboration with external partners into teaching, research, and knowledge exchange activities.”
Award applications were invited from all Scottish universities, research institutes and colleges, as well as businesses and organisations, demonstrating research and development and innovation-led partnerships which have had a positive impact on the economy, society, and the environment.
With 32 individuals, teams and projects shortlisted across 10 categories, the 10th anniversary celebration will be the largest to date. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in the Edinburgh Futures Institute on 19 March.
